Now that your player is registered
What’s AYSO doing?
Immediately after the last registration date we begin the process of determining the approximate number of teams for the upcoming season and finding head and assistant coaches for all the teams.
When do the coaches get their teams?
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters in early August. Coaches must be Safe Haven certified and have a valid Volunteer Application Form verified before any roster can be released. There is FREE Coach training available.
When do the players get called?
Coaches can start to call players after obtaining their rosters. Practice cannot begin before August 1st. Your coach will give you all the information you will need regarding practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location. Practice fields are located throughout our towns.
It’s after mid-August and my child has not been contacted by the coach. What do I do?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice until shortly before the first game. If your child has not been called by the end of August, please email us at
[email protected]
What else does my child need?
Your player will need shoes, shin guards, and a water bottle. Uniforms, including shorts, shirt and socks are provided.
PLEASE NOTE: players may not wear jewelry while practicing or playing. Please plan accordingly if your player plans on piercing their ears. Earrings must be taken out during practice or game play.
How often are practices and games?
Practices are determined by the coach (field and times to be determined by your child’s coach). Games will be on Saturdays with the first game on September 6th for 6U-12U. 14U-16U play on the CalNorth Circuit and will begin practice early August and games start mid August. We do our best to form balanced teams.
How do I get a refund?
Please visit our
Refund Request Page
for instructions.
Please Remember…..
AYSO is a parent-based volunteer organization established to provide a positive experience for our children. Go to the games. Learn the rules. Above all, be tolerant of the children’s, coaches and referees’ mistakes and weaknesses.
We need Coaches, Referees and other volunteers!
Our ability to offer a Season is based on having enough head and assistant coaches for all the teams, referees for all the games and a host of other volunteers to make the program run. If we don’t have coaches we have to turn players away and refund their registration fees. Please help us provide a positive soccer experience for our kids and volunteer to coach or assist today! No soccer experience? No problem! We provide all the training and guidance you need!
